The serious problem with major religions is that too much emphasis is placed on belief, rituals, prayers and attendance at religious services, so that the act takes second place to the belief.

Shawn Paul’s new spirituality book “Religion without Boundaries: Spirituality and Humanity” (published by Archway Publishing) shares practical aspects of spirituality and humanity that aim to help people achieve a more meaningful existence with insights powerful.

Inspired by a visit to a Hindu temple, the author embarked on an in-depth study of the practice, followed by Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. During his exploration, he realized that spirituality was emerging as a driving force that transcended the boundaries of all religions. In this book, Paul examines how religions have been suffocated by their inability to adapt to recent times. Instead, he advocates and emphasizes the concept of spirituality as he believes that spirituality is the true essence of all religion. To improve and enrich human life, Paul puts forward three major humanitarian projects, such as social justice, peace and the environment. Pragmatic solutions are described to fight poverty, establish peace, preserve and maintain precious resources to sustain and survive in peace and prosperity.

“The serious problem with the major religions is that too much emphasis is placed on belief, rituals, prayers and attendance at religious services, so that the act takes a back seat to the belief. Belief does not necessarily translate into good deeds,” Paul says. “That is why there is moral decay, interfaith strife, and violence, even in holy places. Going to holy places does not make a person holy. In this book, the emphasis is on actions rather than beliefs.
