SPRINGFIELD, Vermont – The third monthly Food for Life Vegan Potluck meeting will be held upstairs at the Springfield Community Center at 139 Main Street in Springfield, Vt. Sunday, October 23 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Twelve people attended the first potluck, fifteen attended the second, and all said they enjoyed the event. Veteran herbivores brought sumptuous dishes and swapped cooking tips, while others were introduced to a delicious new way of cooking. It’s also a great way to connect socially that isn’t tied to religion or politics. You don’t have to be vegan to enjoy a range of vegan foods and great company. Just bring a dish to share that’s made with all plant-based ingredients (no meat, dairy, eggs, or honey) and the recipe or list of ingredients you used to make it. You are also encouraged to bring your own food to eat if you can.

Reasons for eating little or no animal foods include dramatically reducing your greenhouse gas footprint, the possibility of greater food equity, improving your health, not having to kill animals to eat and having more interesting and appealing foods. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or even a bit of a curious vegan, join us for a fun and varied meal. Call 802-723-1087 if you want more information.
