St. Joan of Arc and St. Patrick Catholic Churches

Anyone interested in learning more about the Catholic faith is invited to weekly information sessions at St. Joan of Arc and St. Patrick Catholic Churches. On Mondays, sessions are held at St. Patrick’s Parish Hall, 1204 N. Armstrong St. On Wednesdays, sessions are held on the ground floor patio at St. Joan of Arc, 3155 S. 200 West ( Dixon Road). The St. Patrick Haiti Ministry will be sponsoring its annual plant sale from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on May 14 in the school gymnasium, 1229 N. Washington St. Available for sale will be a variety of flowers and plants, including plants vegetable pots and other garden-related arts and decorations. Those present are asked to use the door on the east side of the gymnasium. All proceeds will benefit St. Patrick’s sister parish, St. Therese in Mar Franc, Haiti.

New Beginnings Christian Community

“The Shepherd Who Seriously Calls Us and Keeps Us Safe” will be the theme at 10 a.m. Sunday at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship, 1900 S. Berkley Road. It is based on John 10:22-30.

Curtisville Christian Church

All are invited to attend worship at the Curtisville Christian Church this Sunday at 10:15 a.m. at 737 N. 600 East. Guest preacher Dale Holzbauer is scheduled to deliver the sermon, Lessons From a Godly Mother. There will be a limited amount of gifts available for mothers. Kokomo Zion United Methodist Church

Matt Gerhard, music director of The United Methodist Church of Kokomo Zion, will present a program of Southern gospel favorites on piano and organ at 3 p.m. May 22 at the church. Songs made popular by the Gaither Homecoming series, Happy Goodman Family, Statesmen Quartet and more will be performed at the event at the church, located at 5051. E. 400 North, Kokomo.

Brookside Free Methodist Church

An all-you-can-eat fish and tenderloin dinner will be offered from 4-6 p.m. May 21 at the Brookside Free Methodist Church, located at 190 E. 400 South, Kokomo.

The menu includes fish/tenderloin, green beans, choice of applesauce or coleslaw, drink and dessert. Take-out meals are available.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at the church from 10 a.m. to noon on May 18, noon to 2 p.m. on May 19, and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on May 20. Cost is $11 for ages 11 and up or $5 for children ages 4-10. Tickets purchased at the door will cost an additional $1. Children 3 and under eat free.

Bon Air Church of the Nazarene

Bon Air Church of the Nazarene hosts a coffee club at 9 a.m. every Monday. “No pressure, just camaraderie.” The coffee club meets at the church, 2419 N. Locke St., Kokomo. Participants must enter through the northeast door. Call 765-438-0225 for more information.

First meeting of the friends of Kokomo

The first Friends of Kokomo meeting will host a series of Bible studies on the book of Hebrews led by the Reverend Michael C. Carson. The series will take place throughout May at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays in the church’s Fellowship Hall at 1801 W. Zartman Road. All are welcome.

Christ the King Anglican Church

Christ The King Anglican Church offers a ministry of prayer and pastoral conversation from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday mornings at Big Ben Coffee, 2130 W. Jefferson St., Kokomo.
