The American Taliban rule over Roe

0

US Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas said that rights such as same-sex marriage and contraception cannot be authorized by the Constitution. Did he take the dollar bill’s “In God We Trust” too far?

Is his/their religion alone in control? There are many whose beliefs do not coincide with those of Judge Thomas. We may not belong to a recognized organized religion, but we share the common beliefs of the majority.

Why have certain religious groups become “holier than thou” in their apparent vast power to overthrow Roe vs Wade and then be able to threaten the rights of others in the use of contraception, a pill to end a pregnancy and same-sex marriage?

Has the Supreme Court become the Taliban within a democracy, undermining women’s and gay rights?

And then will they destroy the right for all of us to regulate practices that will slow the adverse effects of climate change?

What religions allow the denial of women’s and gay rights, the well-being of others, and the care of the planet that sustains us? Only those who are intolerant and irresponsible towards the needs of others.
